Pete sits for a self-timer portraiture
on the summit of Mt. Rose. There is a good, easy trick to getting
a good picture, technically. Make sure that sunlight gets on the
face, and use a good, powerful enough, flash for fill-in light
if the shadows are too harsh. The annoying reflections in the
eyes, glasses, or shiny metals, can be easily removed using good
photo editing software. Photos taken July 31, 2000, all from the
summit of Mt. Rose, by Petesthousandpeaks.
A hazy view of Lake Tahoe is seen
in the photo to the bottom left.
The even hazier view of Reno, NV,
is seen, looking to the northeast. The highrises in the downtown
area are visible in the view, although not too clearly in this
photo.
