The City of Trees has plenty of fall colors, but most locals are oblivious to them. Most of the color is imported, with names like liquid amber and ginkos, providing much of the visual delight.

About downtown are older trees, with a good history of turning. These park trees on the left were shot on November 14, 2002, by Petesthousandpeaks.

The Tower Bridge provides a new sight, being painted gold as per an informal local "vote." Used mainly now by fairly light, local traffic, it was once the westerly gateway to Sacramento. Photo taken November 13, 2002 by Petesthousandpeaks.
